Request Dr. Jick as a guest speaker
Dear Organization,
Would you like a dynamic and entertaining Board-Certified Ob/Gyn physician as a speaker at one of your events?
Bryan S. Jick, MD, FACOG, MSCP is a member of The Menopause Society. In 2021, he earned a special menopause credential, MSCP, which means "Menopause Society Certified Practitioner". Dr. Jick has been in private practice in Pasadena for over 35 years. His practice is limited to Gynecology only and he treats many menopausal and pre-menopausal patients.
Dr. Jick sees himself more as a professional talker than a speaker. He is not giving a speech—he is talking with people, something he has done one-on-one with patients throughout his career. He gives an informative talk about menopause and perimenopause, his areas of expertise, lasting 30 to 45 minutes or longer, depending on audience questions (and there will be questions!).
Dr. Jick is available to talk with educational or professional groups, non-profits, workplaces, networking events, social organizations, religious groups, breakfast, lunch or dinner events, on weekdays or weekends. He enjoys having a conversation with the audience, inviting their comments and participation, and telling anecdotes and stories. The goal is to empower the audience to think about menopause -- not as the change of life, but as life-changing!
His services are free if the event is within 20 miles of Pasadena and requires no hotel or meal. If travel is involved, especially out-of-town, then reimbursement for travel and related expenses is expected, but there is no fee for the talk.
Dr. Jick has limited availability as he is a full-time practicing ob/gyn physician, so act now if you'd like him to talk with your group.

kv: 5/5. " I enjoyed the content very much. This topic is often overlooked and not talked about enough. I appreciated Dr. Jick spending the time to teach us about it. His humor and knowledge made this a great lecture to attend."
ha: 5/5. "The presentation provided valuable insight into how menopause affects workplace performance, communication, and organizational culture. I appreciated the discussion on reducing stigma and increasing leadership awareness in occupational settings. As an undergraduate Public Health student, this expanded my understanding of workplace health beyond traditional safety concerns. Thank you for an informative and impactful session."
gg: 5/5. "It was very informative especially as a women who knows nothing about menopause. I loved the hand lotion method it was very helpful especially the infographics about hormones. I was also not aware menopause affects the workplace and how many women hide it."
th: 5/5. "Very helpful and felt seen, and understood. Grateful that a lot of resources were provided. This was a topic that I felt was not important to others, but it is and should be addressed/shared often."
dw: 4/5. "Great example with the use of the lotion bottle. I will be honest as a man sitting here listening to a lecture on menopause I was lost and uncomfortable.. Until he gave me the example with the lotion bottle it’s easier for me to understand"
lb: 5/5. "I enjoyed this presentation. The information is so valuable because we all have people we know who might be going through menopause without any support. I will definitely be carrying this with me as I work with older women and my mom ages."

kc: "Thank you, Dr. Jick! The presentation was really informative and easy to follow. You explained things in a way that made sense, and I learned a lot. I feel better prepared to talk to my doctor. If I were local, I’d be calling you! But I’m in NC. Thanks again!"
kp: "I wish I had heard this talk 15 years ago, and I wish I had access to a clinician like you, Dr. Jick! I appreciated your ability to speak clearly to a broad audience while also providing solid evidence (with citations, so we can look up the papers). In these difficult times we find ourselves in, I really appreciated your explanation of how clinical studies are done, the importance of double-blind, randomize, placebo-controlled work, and the problems with the WHI. Thank you so much for taking the time." (note: kp is a college professor. Her comments were edited for brevity - dr. jick).
